Almost every communist leaders have a prison built for those who would oppose in any way with the ideas of the communist regime. Among them is Joseph Broz Tito, the communist dictator who is not much different from Stalin and another friend from communist countries. And the prison is Goli Otok.

Barren Island, better known by his real name Slav 'Goli Otok' is one of the most controversial island in the Mediterranean Sea, located near the Island Wed, Croatia. Goli Otok is a famous island in the Mediterranean Sea that was built into the worst prison in Yugoslavia. And also a place where political prisoners serving long-term.
Goli Otok was first used as a prison during the Austro-Hungarian Empire's presence. After World War II ended, the people of Yugoslavia who had been deported there are about 1200 political prisoners and they are left on the island. The prisoners who arrived there were forced to work in the mines. The prison was known as a rough place where inmates will often beaten and left to starve. Goli Otok was closed in 1988. And now, Goli Otok become a tourist attraction.
